Some 23,000 people from over 180 countries registered for the leading equity crowdfunding gathering in the world
Hundreds of the world’s top tech entrepreneurs converged on Jerusalem on Thursday for the 2020 OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, which provided exclusive insights into the startup venture capital ecosystem.
With $1.4 billion of committed funding, and investments in 200 portfolio companies and 20 venture funds, OurCrowd boasts an accredited membership of 42,000 individuals and entities from over 180 countries. The company announced that it had invested in 38 new portfolio businesses and had eight exits in 2019, including two of the most prominent IPOs: Beyond Meat and Uber.
The event capped a decade of tremendous growth in Israel’s tech sector, during which annual investments in local startups grew by over 400% and annual exit value grew 900%.
